KIT (Knowledge Based Information Technology) Solutions, LLC. ("KIT") creates intelligent systems for the health and human services ("HHS") industry that monitor and measure impact and performance outcomes and provide knowledge for improved decision making. A KIT service enables policy-makers, government agencies, private foundations, researchers, and field practitioners to implement best practices and evidence-based programs, demonstrate impacts, and continuously improve outcomes.
Do the Right Thing, Right™
A fundamental principle at KIT Solutions is to "Do the Right Thing, Right™." Although this sounds like such an obvious concept to follow, it is often difficult to achieve. In a service such as KIT's, there are numerous stakeholders and their needs often become divergent. KIT always strives for solutions where not only our customer wins, but also the entire HHS field. You do the “Right Thing” by establishing a Learning Community made up of users across the nation so that a collective intelligence is available to continuously evolve the KIT Service. You do the “Right Thing, Right™” by making these evolutionary changes to the service available at no charge to the customer.
Service, Service, Service
Continuous modifications can be provide at no charge to all KIT’s customer’s by using the SaaS (Software as a Service) model for application delivery. KIT provides a comprehensive web-based data service for statewide health and human services management, performance monitoring, and outcome evaluation. A KIT Service is:
- Flexible
- Reliable
- Accurate
- Secure
- Affordable
This service has been custom tailored and utilized by 13 States (PA, VA, SC, FL, RI, ME, WA, CO, SD, NY, CA, HI, and NH) for substance abuse prevention service tracking, client management, program monitoring and reporting, and outcome evaluation.
Leveraging the success in prevention, KIT is introducing an integrated web data service for treatment, mental health, prevention, and case management to local, state, and federal government agencies this year.
KIT has developed and supported COMET (Coalition Outcome Management and Evaluation Tool); a web service currently utilized by ONDCP for national evaluation of Drug Free Community initiative and by SAMHSA for managing 700 DFC grantees across the country. In its first year of operation, 718 out of 720 current DFC grantees successfully completed an online national evaluation survey and submitted the first semi-annual progress report via Internet using COMET. This 99.8% compliance rate demonstrates our ability to design and implement an integrated data strategy project at the national level.
KIT has recently become a primary contractor under SAMHSA’s IDIQ contract.
