Xiaoyan Zhang Recognized as “Pacesetter”

Xiaoyan Zhang, president and CEO of KIT Solutions, LLC, was recently named a 2010 Pacesetter by Smart Business Pittsburgh. Smart Business, a management journal providing insight, advice and strategy for C-level executives of fast-growth, middle-market and large companies, honored Zhang at the 24th annual St. Barnabas CEO Leadership Conference at the Kean Theatre in The Washington Place in Gibsonia, Pa.

The Smart Business Pacesetters Awards recognize 13 outstanding business and community leaders who have had a significant impact on the region. These honorees represent innovative leaders whose savvy leadership is setting the pace for the Pittsburgh region.

“Xiaoyan is an inspiring leader and very deserving of this award,” said Dr. Lun Wang, vice president, CTO and co-founder of KIT Solutions. “He has demonstrated this through his loyalty, hard work and commitment to both KIT Solutions’ customers and employees.”

Zhang founded KIT Solutions, a Pittsburgh-based provider of real-time, data-driven decision support services for human services organizations, in 1992, when he envisioned the idea of combining social science knowledge with information technology to develop Knowledge-based Information Technology (KIT) Solutions. In 2007, KIT was awarded its first five-year, multi-million dollar federal government contract and today, the company has several federal agencies as well as state and local agencies in 17 states and has grown to 70 employees with an annual growth rate of 30 percent and revenue of $7 million.
