The Access To Recovery vouchers enable those seeking substance abuse treatment to participate in recovery support services. The clients have the ability to choose their program and provider for their path to recovery. The ATR program offers an increased number of programs that will receive funding and the success of the programs will be measured by outcomes including client abstinence from abused substances and involvement or lack of, with the criminal justice system. With the ATR program, you can better serve your population and KIT can supply the services for successful program management.
KIT partnered with the Department of Mental Health, Retardation and Hospitals in Rhode Island and developed a complete Web-based information management service for the Rhode Island ATR grant. The service manages every aspect of the ATR voucher process including assessment, treatment planning with an approval protocol, consumer choice of providers, client admissions, discharges and service tracking, online sharing of consumer information, and a complete paperless invoicing system.
KIT offers tailored modifications of the Rhode Island system, including 40 hour per week live technical support, and provider training, to current ATR applicants. Evidence is clear that use of this system will greatly reduce start up time, allow state grant managers to focus on substance abuse treatment management and result in better first year outcomes. KIT’s experience in ATR will result in time saved at start up, and money and time saved in development of a new state specific data system. A tailored ATR project will focus on service delivery and identify gaps and opportunities early in the project.
