Description:
KIT Solutions partnered with the Institute for the Study of Social Change/ Community Prevention Planning Program, and CLEW Associates to develop an internet-based planning and monitoring system, based on GIS technology, to track crime and substance abuse related data. This resulted with the unveiling of Web MCAP in 2005 for Orange County, CA. The system is based on KIT’s Performance Based Prevention System (PBPS) technology. The PBPS is a database tracking software package, which is based on the Center for Substance Abuse Prevention’s (CSAP) Minimum Data Set (MDS). Web MCAP can operate simultaneously at several governmental levels (local, county, state) and allows research and service activities across multiple jurisdictions.
